It is hoped that the T20 World Cup will be held in India as per the plan, otherwise an alternative plan has been made: Interim CEO Jeff Allards
International Cricket Council (ICC) Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jeff Allards has said that "we hope the T20 World Cup will be held in India as per the plan, otherwise we have an alternative plan are present.
According to the report of the cricket website, there are only six months left in the T20 World Cup while India is suffering from the second wave of Kovid-19. Since March 6 alone, more than one lakh corona cases have been reported in India.
Jeff Allards said he was in constant touch with the Indian Cricket Board and was working on it. It may be recalled that in a statement last month, the ICC CEO said that India's venues for the World Cup were being reviewed if the World Cup T20 in India was not possible due to the increasing cases of Corona. So the UAE has been placed as an alternative, where it is proposed to hold the tournament.
It is expected that the World Twenty20 will be held in India in October and November this year, which was initially postponed due to the spread of Corona virus in Australia in 2020, but was later relocated to India so that 2 ICC events could not be held in India.
